My name is Ron Pruitt, and this is my website. I have been a professional musician for over 35 years. I have been playing in bars and doing concerts since 1965. I am a bass player, guitar player, songwriter, prose writer, teacher, and poet.  I have performed and/or recorded with many of today's, (and yesterday's) greatest musicians, including: Tim Reynolds, John D'Earth, and Robert Jospe, (from my years with Cosmology and TR3), Carter Beauford and Leroi Moore (of the  Dave Matthews Band, with whom I have had the pleasure of playing with many times); Michael Lewis, (with Big Nick and the Gila Monsters, (lately of Color Blind, 108, The Super Tones, and Cappuccino).

Going way back into the 60s and 70s, there was the soulful Boyd Williams, Jimmy Seals, Dash Crofts, John Ford Colley, Dan Seals, and who can ever forget, the Master of Funk, Freddie Empire.  I am not currently playing with Greg Lawrence, (guitar, vocals, keyboards, harmonica, and drums),  Tony Maynard, (guitar and vocals), and  Terry Lowe  (drums), though I love those guys.  I am just playing at home when I get the time.  I am living in Chillicothe, Ohio, being the overall Network Administrator and teaching at Southeastern Business College, not gigging in Ohio, Kentucky, and West Virginia.  I still write songs, play bass and sing, and I am after long years working on my guitar chops.
