Thursday's Lesson

After you have learned how to play the major scale in every key, now start to learn the model system in every key.  The model system is the key to learning chord theory.

  1. Play the G major scale starting in G.
  2. Then play the G major scale starting on A.
  3. Then play the G major scale starting on B.
  4. Then play the G major scale starting on C.
  5. Then play the G major scale starting on D.
  6. Then play the G major scale starting on E.
  7. Then play the G major scale starting on F#.
  8. Then play the G major scale starting on G.

Then move to G# and do the same thing.

Move to A and do the same thing, then A#, B, C, etc.

Then extend each scale to two octaves.
